while driving home last week aftere comin ou of a bend i floored the car in third just before the rev limiter i pulled for forth let ou the clutch and the car cut out. the car still aint going. i thought it mite of been a fuel problem but its not.can anyone shed some light as to what mite be wrong???the car is turning over when you try to start but just doesnt seem to be firing..

Did you check if the spark plugs are throwing spark, Could be your distributer after packing in

never even thought of it until you said it. cheers mate. will let you know how it goes..
 
got the car back going was the distributor after. took a week and a half to get one.
 
So my diagnosis was correct:D I have seen that happen to a few sir's before. Not the easiest part to find either when they do go.
