After having the car on a lifter & checked the tires I noticed the front driver side has a slight play. This means I need to replace the wheel bearing, right? Thge other 3 corners didnt have that play. How many bearings are there per wheel? Can anyone give me the part#. Would this be the same w/ all 1999 civics? Im asking this coz we dont have EK9 here, only SiR(ek4) sold here w/c I can get parts at the honda dealership. Maybe can some one also post an illustration of the wheel bearing area...exploded view from the manual. Thanks.

The wheel bearing for the ek9 front is the same as the integra type-R but not same as sir/normal civic.

PN is 44300S-04-A02

different size? I cant use SIR bearing? wont fit? whats the difference?

play maynot be in the wheel bearing. more like tie rod end if its side to side or if its up and down maybe it the top or bottom arm.

The play is side to side. How can I make sure its the bearing & not the tie rod? How to check?
Also can anyone give me the # written on the side of the bearings? Ive heard that NTN bearing is OK & way cheaper than OEM honda bearing. I just need the numbers that are written on the side of the bearings. Thanks.

best way is to remove the bearing and use it as a sample on our local auto supply.

Maybe some here already has the part# for the NTN bearing so I dont need to remove the bearing until I get the part.

Get someone to press the brake while you wobble it if the play goes it is the bearing if not the poss track rod end or knuckle on the end of the steering rack.

if the bearing was gone it would be making a noise,i'd say it's more likely a track rod end or ball joint, does it make any noise when your driving it?

could also be play in the track rod itself.

also note that the wheel bearings for ABS equiped EK9's are the same as non equipped ABS EK9's

I dont hear any noise. So I should have some step on the brake before I tried to wiggle it?

guys, pls help!!! I need to know the number on the wheel bearing. Anyone know? i dont wanna remove the bearing to find out the number. but it will be my last resort.Ive heard ntn bearings are good.

Just order one for a DC2 UK spec Integra from your local motor parts factors. They are 100% the same, i fitted one only last week.

Im in the Philippines. We dont have any type R's here. Or maybe you can direct me to a website where I can order one in asia. thanks!

maybe some can direct me to a site where I can order this part online. Thanks.

With the car in the air, wiggle the wheel side to side while someone puts their hand on the trackrod end/arm,you feel noticably play if thats the problem!

The last thing you want to do is remove the bearing when you dont need to!

Im 100% sure its the front wheel bearing. My mechanic just removed it. Where can I order this front wheel bearing? preferably in asia or usa.
