hi all i got my 1998 ek9 type r on rolling road at santa pod at the weekend
i have
apexi exhaust system
decat
apexi neo (not set up yet just moved the vtec point to 4800
AEM short ram
gess what bhp i got i was mega happy
















212.2bhp :drive:
i was really happy with this result any comments welcome

congrats on the results mate. im the guy who was talking to you and is picking his ek up this week.

i hope thouse results are right but id get a second one done somewhere just to check..personally i dont always trust the mobile ones :(

really hope its right though cause thats a spanking figure!

Not putting your car down bud, but there's no chance of that power from them few mods. Get it done somewhere else to check again...

well interesting thing is I am going on a group RR on sunday, that i know 2 other EK9 will be there.

So I will get a good comparison, also with ITRs, so we can check the results as many do say the number means just the read out on that certain dyno.

will scan the print out if you like.
 
that seems alot for so little mods. try another rr
 
as said, figures are optimistic for the mods you have, however, atleast you know that your car is running above average figures :)
 
i can't see how it could be more on a rolling road???
i could under stand if the bearings where ****ed then it would be less bhp due to the car not being able to push them round as easy

dynojet does NOT load the car. thats why it can read higher. unless its a dynodynamics dyno. a dyno is not a measuring tool.
 
wel my m8 had a jordan and he decated it and rolling road it before and after on a good rolling road and it add 10bhp so i can't see why 212 is not possible
 
Unless the ek9 you have has been stroked to a 1800cc in japan and you dont know about it there is NO way that you'll run 212 bhp at the flywheel its impossible id get it on another rolling road just to get a 2nd figure just out of interest mate what was the torque figure like ???
 
it will be nice if you know some other figures from other cars, so it can be compared.
 
My UK dc2 has got a
Comptech 4-2-1 manifold,
s/s de-cat,
Full magnaflow system and backbox and a spoon 68mm throttle body and ive managed 207bhp 1st time and 202bhp 2nd time so im sorry but i cant see anyway how that power would be accurate on yours id dofinately get it done again

that sums up dyno right there, 1-2 bhp is poss from decat 3 if you have freaky engine

what was torque ?
