hey guys!!

Any info about hydraulic handbreaks? does it worth to replace the OEM one? what are the plus and cons of this?

Thanks
Jose

hydro brakes dont replace your cable brake usually as the hydro doesnt lock and the car will just roll away. tbh i dunno why you'd want one on a civic....

Its not that i want one on my Civic, i just saw it on a friends car, but i guess that it works only for Drifting and all that crazy ****. because he owns a Bimmer.

Anyway. thanks a lot for clear out my doubt.

as far as i'm aware they are illegal on uk roads.

they're legal as long as you still have a mechanical handbrake as a lot of rally cars use them and they have to be road legal.

would only fit one if you were doing auto-testing otherwise i don't see any real need to lock up the back wheels.

They're totally useless for anything outside of rallying on a FWD car, and even then my brother doesn't use his all that often on a rally-stage in his EK9.

I think they use them in drifting to upset the car and initiate the drift at high speed where a normal handbrake wouldn't be any good. Obviously an EK9 would be terrible at drifting.
