Hello all, i'm Merk, 22 from Ayrshire in Scotland...

Registered on about 400000000000 different forums but finally came onto the biggest EK9 one!

Got myself a Race Base EK9 that i've had for about a year and a half now..

Had a silver FN2 Civic Type R before that....
And a cosmic EP3 Civic Type R before THAT! So i'm a bit of a honda/civic nut!!

Anyway, ace forum, can't wait to get the post count up!

after owning all three type R's what one would you say in your opinion is the best ?;)

Michael, I couldn't really choose one out of the three, I loved them all for different reasons...

The best TYPE R, without a doubt is the ek9, every drive feels like i'm in a race car, which i'm sure is exactly what honda wanted.

Ep3 was a good all rounder but never excited me at all..

And the FN2 (believe it or not) was the quickest in a straight line, was faster than any EP3 I came accross, but for a 2007 car.. it didn't half rattle! I got fed up seeing FN2's every 5 minutes on the roads too, plus most FN2 owners don't know what Type R is all about!

Running a decent spec:

15" rota slipstreams
Blox forged aluminium wheel nuts
Accord Type R 300mm discs and EBC Red stuff pads
Braided brake lines
Buddyclub coilovers
Cusco LSD
Cusco Radiator
fast road set up

Oh and some engine stuffsssss :)
 
car looks awesome dude,looks really strange seeing a standard passenger seat inside it,always expect the red recaro haha !

my sister's got an ep3 and i've drove that before,also had a bit excitement with them while out driving and they don't seem all that fun compared to the ek9 so totally understand what you mean !

and know exactly what your saying withe the FN2 situation, people not knowing it's the type r.. one of my mum's friends has got an FN2 and probably couldn't even tell you a thing about it. just the whole 'new car' 'top model' situation i think !

My FN2, I had for just over a year, Lowered on eibachs, AEM filter, Xenons and Tints were pretty much the only mods to that...

Was far too expensive to buy Mods for it!

And Gav, i'm in the forces and on leave for the next 2 weeks, if there's any meets in the glasgow (ish) area that are going on, i'll try and come up... although there's about 40000 sections on this forum so I might not know about them hehe.
 
Sweet man, keep an eye on the meets/events section if we are all jumping out i usually stick a thread up in there :nice:
