I'm not positively sure but you might have just temporarily restored the clarity. It might come back hazy really soon.

I've restored headlights many times, and they always come back hazy. This way is the best way I have ever done, and it's still looks extremely good after 5 months. The meguiars headlight restore kit I showed in the video comes with a bottle of headlight protectant. I think it helps prevent it by a lot.

I need to have a go to see if it works
You have to really take your time and put in a lot of effort when you do it or it will not work. I have done about 6 headlights and they all take me a very long time like almost 2 hours by myself and a little over an hour with a friend's help. I have a friend who tried it but he was doing a sloppy job and he rushed it and it didn't turn out nicely.
