How to do 5 Lug Conversion with Michael Flare

Haha, that was a good watch.

Im a little confused, is the CTR 5 lug conversion really that rare?

Informative video, im in the middle of one of these conversions. Wish I had seen this first lol would have saved some serious messing about!

The JDM/USDM Integra Type R DC2 5 lug conversion is MUCH MORE common than the JDM CTR EK9 5 lug conversion.

Looks like you forgot to change the proportion valve....didn't see it in your unboxing video

Truth is, I bought the 4040 proportion valve. A few hours after I bought it, I regretted buying it so much because I did a lot of research and people said that it's not necessary. The EK stock proportion valve has a completely different layout than the 4040 one which requires your to bend every single brake line and some might not even be long enough so you have to buy new lines. It definitely wasn't worth the money and time and some people said that the stock EK's valve felt better than their swapped 4040 valve. As soon as I got the 4040 valve in the mail last week, I didn't even bother opening it. I shipped it straight back to the owner telling I didn't need it and he gave me a refund. However, I did have to upgrade my master cylinder and brake booster to a 1''. I bought mine from a 1996 Integra GSR; these items were absolutely necessary because right after the 5 lug swap, I would literally slam on the brakes and my car would just slow down casually. Now, it's a different story. It's amazing!

Im doing my rear brake swap now... so much harder than his!

His is rust free! all bolts coming off.. :( I had LCA bolt problems... and now my latest is my hydraulic lines... the nut has rounded off :( so it wont budge and its rusted on! ARGHHH!!!

It is best to use the proper tool to remove the brake line nuts. It looks like an ordinary closed end wrench but has a cut on one of it's ends that lets you wrap around the brake lines and onto the nut. This tool is especially made for this so that the nut doesn't get stripped.

Man wish I knew that from before... Ended up having to use mole grips to get it off :( ****** up nut now

LOL! I'm sorry, man. I want to be safe. People ask me that question a lot, and I always give them the same reply.
