Honda Civic Type R EK9 Turbo vrs. Nissan Skylines

can tell the civic is much lighter. stops way faster than the skylines can but loses his advantage come corner exit because of no traction

If he cleans up his driving line he could overtake that r33 if not others. It was skill that is needed just a bit more. The car is more than capable but good show regardless.

He needs grip, not better skills.

He was hitting most apex's but then wouldnt clip the adjacent berm on the outside at the exits. He was cutting in and not going wide enough to keep the straightest line, i noticed that quite a lot. He could have passed that r33 sooner. That car no doubt has traction issues but having said that, its 90% driver, 10% car.

Going from the sound and the way it accelerates I think it's a B16B turbo with a recirclating Bov and some short gearing or oem gearbox. You can clearly hear a bov on the background everytime he shifts. The exhaust noise makes it difficult to hear but it's there.I don't think he's pushing a whole lot of Hp maybe 300hp or so.
Anyone remember the Video of the SS Works CRX ?That car only had 238hp but because of the low weight and short gearing it accelerated like crazy.
It's also weird it accelerates fast until the redline ,most turbo setups die off in high revs,so it might be using a supercharger (Rotrex).

Ooft anyone know the weight difference toughly between the skyline (track) and the EK9? Just curious :)

in my opinion it's a b16b stroked to 1.8 + turbo, you can see the boost gauge, and how the rev's go up extremely fast when the turbo + vtec kicks in, i might be wrong, what do you guys think?
I have a b16b turbo and it takes Vtec before the turbo will spool but after 5 k is a party im limited by 82mm bore with stock sleeves however 435 hp and 287 ft lbs will run a 11.8 sec 1/4 mile on continental extreme contact summer tire!
