Hi guyz, i have a problem or maybe its not a problem am not sure and am asking for anyone that knows to tell me about that , my car starts on cold start on 2200rpms and after 45sec or less starting to drop down till it idles normal, i have tune it on powerfc and so thats make my cold start goes that high. Anyone knows if this make any problem on the engine ? Can it produce problems on the main or crank bearings because of the delay that has the oil when it start up and hit 2200 rpms? Anyone?

Cant remember off top my head what cold idle is but it definitly revs higher on cold starts... Just maybe not in the 2200 rev range think its around 1500.

Nothing to worry about really, there is no load on the engine at idle. What is your idle rpm when hot?

Lower it and your cold idle will be lower then also.

its set up on powerfc the idle i can't lower it even in the throttle on the engine bay if i turn the screw to close the air so it drops down the rpms the engine will start Rev low/high from 900 to 1300 .

my fear is will this high rpms on cold start harm my engine ? the mechanic that built my engine told me that can make problem on the bearings of the crank because it starts on high rpms and the engine could not receive the oil in that 2-3 seconds that starts up.

Your tuner needs to lower target idle in software
