welcome to the site man, best bet for insurance purposes would be a 1.4 then you can start your modding, anything like a vti or ek9 and you'll be paying a fortune to insure it sadly, good luck mate :nice:

Welcome mate, I'd agree with Gav but i'd pick a SOHC Vtec car so that come time if you want to do a conversion it makes life easy.

Gav is that ur car ?? mate thats a beauty haha how much roughly do u reckon insurance wud b on a 1.4 in the UK for a 17 yr old male driver (1st car obviously)
i was also thinkin about gettin a ford fiesta zetec and do it up, if i dont get a civic. would u know which one wud b cheaper to do up and jus to generally run such as petrol insurance etc ??

yeah thats mine mate glad you like it :D to be honest a fiesta would be better insurance wise but not half as good as a 1.4 civic, mate used to have one and they are great cars ! Imo worth the extra dollar for the civic mate :nice: insurance is expensive for any car at your age sadly but your probz talking over 2k :((

wat all mods av u got on ur car ? how much did it take to get it from wen u bought it to how it looks now? yea i love civics like so i wrekon i will pick it over the fiesta :D a golf was another option bt im not to fused on em. wen u say 2k u what were u referring to there? how much wud a second hand 1.4 be ??
ur help has been really gud so for by the way, thanks mate ;)

gav's car mate is an ek9... it comes standard looking like that apart from the alloys..:)

cheers man, yeah body work is oem, fitted coilovers, the te37's, exhaust and that, got the parts on within a few weeks or getting it. The 2k i was refering to was for the insurance mate even the 1.4 civics are still quite pricey to insure for a new driver most hondas are the same. Could pick up a tidy 1.4 for bout 2k as well so if you've 4k to spend your laughing lol.

And no worries always glad to help :p

sounds tasty lol ill start gettin out the auto trader etc then haha
ill probs av more questions like so any i have ill come straight to u ;)
cheers mate
