Hi there
im new to the site and going to hopfully buy a ek9 friday, what should i look out for is there any comon faults or anyting??
thing the site is really good :nice:
also whats the most cheaps and affective mod u can do to the ek9,

ok thanks for that m8ty, but are there any problems with the ek9 model? i.e it says 3rd gear is week in the gearboxs on civics so will look out 4 this.

Btw, cheap isn't always bad, but you have to spend enough money do see a decent difference in performance form the N/A EK9. The most effective mod I think is to change your gear ratios a bit, the car becomes very wild but it vevs very high and its not convenient to drive in highways unless you need it only on track :nice:
 
its not just civic's that have weak 3rd gear, i failed to mention in that thread, the gear change from 2nd to 3rd is known as "the hardest shift known to man" its the hardest on gear box and its the hardest to do properly, rx-7's have minor 3rd gear issue aswell, and like the civic its not really becuase of a weak gear but more becuase the nature of the shift and driver abuse that causes 3rd gear to wear prematurely.

Maybe top fuel instake, and 5zigen header :)

Sounds like nice combination... i want the 5Zigen header badly!!!:nerv:
 
thanks you for all ur comments nice to get good comments off people, the car im after has a spoon n1 exhaust want to get a spoon or mugen manifold and or mugen decat if possible can any 1 push me in the right direction

i got my ek9 on friday :woot: it great after a new airfilter and manifold and decat, very fun car thanks for ur help every 1 :clap:
