hi ive just joined the forum and realy impressed with it, im drivin a JDM dc2 integra 96 spec at the moment. its my third one now but always wanted a EK9 so thinking bout makin the change...ive been looking around for one.
has anyone on here gone from a dc2 to a ek9?? are they a lot different? and will it be a good change?

thanks

From what I have read the 2 biggest differences next to cosmetic, are that the EK9 handles neutral, while the 96 DC2 is more into lift off oversteer, the B16b lacks torque compared to the B18c so really needs to be kept in the higher rpm's to be fast. The EK9 also has 282mm front and 262mm rear brakes, bigger than 96spec DC2.

And welcome :)

Best to take either a passenger rise or test drive a good exampled EK9 and then decide, maybe?

Wedgie on here used to own a ITR and a guy named Simone, i think ;) pm them if your like...

I've had a 1999 ek9 and a 1998 spec ITR, between the 2 I prefer the ek9, it handles better. But if you install a B18C in ek9 then you'll have a perfect combination.

I sold my ek9 because I needed some cash, and I currently bought a 96 spec dc2; because I have a limited budget... but If I had the budget.. with no doubts I will choose to buy a ek9.

:)

i did this from a dc2 to a ek9 and the only thing worth talking about is the power difference, its a pain.and in MY opinion the integras handle better.

yeah thats what i was worried about but ive already sourced a 98 spec ITR engine to drop straight in to it if i dont like the power difference... still cant make up my mind whether to swap to a 9 or not.....
