help with high emmisions plz ek4 vti

failed on emmisions was tols car is overfueling cahanged the cat what else could it be only bought car 6 weeks ago..............
 
could be a faulty lambda, this would cause the car to run rich, also make sure the cat you fit is new, times second hand cats wont work....
 
thank you you were right lad got loan of friends sensor and cat did the trick..
 
just bought an ek4 vti the other day overfueling. what could you do to improve the mpg? how can you check if the lambda is faulty? do them tune boxes really work or is it a waste of time?
 
getting bout 18mpg bound to get more outta it than that. its a 98 civic ek4 parts include.

decat
toyo sports 4-1 manifold
tenzo r intake
denzo iridium spark plugs
integra type r cams
integra type r inlet manifold
integra type r throttle body
integra type r injectors and fuel rail.

lots more but not sure the rest would have anything to do with fuel consumption. would really like info if any1 cud help me please. cheers!! :)
 
thats awful man how are driving the car for instance driving with loads vtec your car would need a map anyway as those parts aren for that car injectors etc should get a neo and get it maped
 
Actually 25mpg am getting. One of tge sensors is away on it that measures air intake and fuel ratio. Thinkn of gettin it remapped once ive it fixed
