Looking to buy extended studs for my EK9 on Friday, basically on the Tegiwa website they only sell 20mm extended studs and i only want to run a 5-10mm spacer and have fancy rays lug nuts which are not open ended. Does anyone happen to know where i can buy 10mm extended studs or am i going to have to cut 10mm off the Tegiwa ones? Cheers

hummmm.
Just use the 20mm ones and proper lug nuts; steel.

What wheels are you running and offset?

If I remember rightly you can use the DC5 studs. (Maybe FD2, not sure) But definately there are OEM honda studs that are only around 10-15mm longer than EK ones.

Might need to do some googling to be sure.

Well i bought a set of Rays lug nuts so i want to make use of them, i have two sets of wheels, my CPR's are +30 so il only get away with a 5mm spacer as my arches aren't rolled not that i wish they was anyway. My Rega's are +42 i think so i should get away with a 10mm spacer without rubbing issues, i need atleast a 5mm just to clear the Spoon calipers. Thanks for the advice.

I would just use 20mm extended studs but im worried there will be too many threads when only using a 5mm spacer causing the wheel not to tighten properly?

One thing to note also. If you do go for the 20mm ones. ARP ones come with an extra nipple on the end of the stud which sticks out about 5-6mm. So definite :nono: if you want to keep caped nuts.

I am sure the DC5 studs are longer than EG,DC2, EK ones. Can't seem to find where I read it.

Hmmmm thats f***d that then :/ yeah iv been doing a fair bit of research and cant seem to find anything, its such a pain for the sake of a 5-10mm spacer as i have to get the wheel bearings changed too! Il keep researching pal if not il get 20mm ones cut down and re-threaded.

2 options.

1. Put proper steel nuts on and don't worry about them failing or seizing.
2. Put a normal nut on the stud, grind it down to the required size and remove the nut thus cleaning the last thread.

Ok mate cheers. Just speaking to someone at JAE who can get 13mm extended studs so going to buy them :)
