Finally going to have some cash to get an aftermarket manifold soon, dont want to spend loads and i am stuck between too but have 3 options really

Option 1:

Try and get the mugen 4-1 repaired though looks really okward to repair where its smashed in right at the bend, and would have no idea what the repair work would turn out like

Option 2:

Tegiwa manifold:

pro's - only £410 , good ground clearance

cons - unsure of how good this will be as it hasnt been out long, probably need another remap as the car was mapped with a 4-1 not 4-2-1 ?

Option 3:

Dc sports 4-1 ceramic coated OR brushed stainless

pro's - hopefully wouldnt need a map as similar to mugen? , both these types cheaper than tegiwa at £285 for ceramic and brushed £365 i think, i had a second hand ceramic coated dc on my jordan for 1.5 yr and was fine , would prefer a 4-1 for top end power

cons - clearly not as good ground clearance as tegiwa, unsure if this will sit slightly lower again or not on a b16b as its listed on funky power only for a b18

..... at the moment im leaning towards the dc, but am i right in thinking i would save more £ again by not really need a remap with the 4-1 seeings car was mapped for 4-1 ? and i would feel i would need to remap for tegiwa?

Thanks

Zens tegiwa manifold wasn't a straight fit as one of the bolt holes was out of line. So I would go for a branded one that will fit 100%. Never been keen on the dc stuff but like you say that would be a fit and go product and no further tuning.

I have a J's mani and still looks new 2 yrs after fitting i strongly recommend it and the j's decat all this coupled with a j's carbon intake makes a magnificent sound

B18C and B16B have the same height of engine so the manifolds are the same

Only thing that may differ is the mount near the collector of the manifold, this bolts up to a removable bracket on the back of the block and differs between 96 and 98 spec integra (96 spec is the same as ek9) however some manifolds come with both mounts (my fujitsubo has both) however you do not NEED to run this mount

DC sports is nice! the ceramic coating is not worth it though, it's starting to come off my mates manifold already!!! They do hang a little low though, he had to remove his H-brace as it fouled

I would go with the dc one, iv heard good things about them and ye there a perfect fit!

Ours will beat all the other manifolds listed. The only real fitment issue is that one hole needs to be drilled larger, takes around 5 mins

thanks lads

think i will get the DC then as it suits my map, feel i would need a remap to get full benifits of the Tegiwa

If the car wasnt mapped i would pick the Tegiwa i think. just not wanting to remap aswell, im earning decent cash but only for 3 months so got to save as much as i can to support me when the job ends

:))

Stevenek9 how long has your mate had the ceramic on for?

Always heard good things and good results from the DC sports headers. Was going to buy one myself until i came across a pre heat wraped mint TODA 421 for a grate price.

Quick question to tegiwa? does your header have a step off the exhaust port opening or is it designed for a flush fitment to the port opening??

i cant seem to find the exhaust manifold dyno comparrison thread i have seen before can anyone point me in right direction please?

just discovered a 98 spec dc2 manifold for £225 and want to comapre it to the dc

one thing confusing me though

if 98 itr spec mani is as good as claimed and better than a 96 spec, how come both 96 and 98 spec tegs produce the same power??

Because it mainly effects the torque curve and gives alot more midrange and peak hp is earlier. Also depending where you are besides the official 200ps for both. Some places you will find that they state the 98spec to be 210ps factory.

thanks mate

98 spec 4-1 ordered for £225 + £15 delivery :D

should be here monday. but will wait and get fitted with a power steering pump when i find one

Don't think you'd have gone too far wrong with the Tegiwa manifold as it's deffo good for the money but I needed a remap to see the best from it.

Having said that mine will probably be for sale in around 3-4 weeks as I'll hopefully have my new B20 With full spoon 4-2-1 , B-pipe and street muffler fitted.
