Help! Car stuck in germany :(

Glad you got it back, How much was the final bill from the ring on the damage to the armco?

my pal managed to get his dads disco and i used my other pals trailer, so i went and got it with that. finished up putting about £500 of fuel in it ha. the cars a bit if a mess :( not fixing her. my pal was behind me and he reckoned i went into the barrier about 80-100 backwards. wasnt nice seeing the barrier coming towards me and knowing it was gone, nothing i could do! :( but at least my passenger and i was fine! the bill was scary from the ring.. just under 2000 euros :|.. and when i went to get it at the impound i was told 12 euro a day so i thought that wasn't too bad. it went in sunday afternoon and i arrived friday afternoon to get it and they hit me with a bill of 130 euros. best to say i wasn't best pleased.

but anyway, it was an experience, and it may seem crazy but I'd go back tomorrow! the cars twisted. engines not got a scratch on it. really want to keep it. its just a b16a2, but its itr cams ect, dyno'd at 190bhp. really dont know what to do with the car, break it? buy something else and put all the running gear on it? but what? really dont know? :(

thanks for all the help again :)
cheers gus

Buy something else and stick the engine and running gear in :nice:

Glad ya got her back mate :nice: That ended up being a dear wee trip to the ring

At least no one was hurt though and ya got it sorted :)

I know what you mean about going back after having bad luck at the ring. Re-shell the car mate, makes the most sense.

haha yeah this is true :p yeah it did well. thank god i had recaros in it, held me in so well.

do you think if i bought something like this.. 1999 Civic Coupe Ej6 1.6i Ls cheap facelift in Southside, Glasgow | Used Honda for sale | Gumtree.com that it would be easy to swap all the running gear over and i wouldn't have that much hassle?

Just took a look at the coupe looks good for its price. I personally would just buy it.

Glad everythings sorted,

Get a nice clean coupe, take out your engine, running gear, build it up while its out (B18/B20 bottom end) get it in and enjoy it again!

Thanks lad. I've never swapped an engine before, I take it that its fairly simple when youve got both cars the same sitting infront of you. Also would a b20 bottom end make a big difference? How much money is in them? My engine was dyno'd at 189bhp and 123 torque.

Thanks for the advice.

Not bad i was going to buy ITR cams for my b16 before i decided to sell up. Engine already has good power, would leave the bottom end just now. Btw what were your times round the ring?
