Hey guys and girls. Today is my first day on these forums.
I've became a Honda lover when my cousin got a 2000 Honda Civic Si.
3 days ago, I got my first car. It is a 1998 Honda Civic DX Hatch.
It's got 75k on the odometer, fender bender damage, but most of all, its a HONDA. I just wanted to say hello befor i start lurking.

:ek9:
Here is a picture of my car.

Welcome bro... congratz on your hatch. Take lots of pics from now to when you put the mods on. "WARNING" its addicting....

a good body shop should be able to fix that no problem :nice:

You say this is your first car so i am guessing you are 16/17, so if i may just give some small advice:

-Enjoy the car for what it is
-Try not to have grand dreams of making it something its not
-If you start modding start in 1 area finish and then move on, like if you wanna look good and be fast don't work on both aspects at the same time, do the outside first, finish it then move onto the engine. I personally modded my car in this order and found it VERY enjoyable:
*Suspension and Brakes
*Exterior
*Interior and Audio
*Engine

So even though my car was slow for a long time it still looked great and handled great, nobody likes to have a car they have dumped a bunch of money into and it still looks like ****, make it look good so you enjoy the dollars you spend.

-Realize you will probably never impress a girl with a Civic, so don't even try
-Brand name parts are great but sometimes over priced, knock off parts are usually **** but also very cheap, try to find a good balance, nothing is worse than a nice car with shitty parts that don't work properly
-Be safe and good luck!

Thanks for the tips blinx.
I'm 17, and I'm probably going to keep it stock for at least half a year.
Maybe drop it and some Si rims.
It's going to be a side project while im in college.
maybe soon we'll meet at a Honda meet in Cali.
