Heatshield Question..!

My heatshield on my OEM EK9 exhaust manifiold is looking quite tatty compared to the rest of the engine bay. Would it do any harm if I removed this heatshield completely???

Removing it will just look tacky! Pull it off and spray it with a silver cast spray to freshen it up.

wont do any harm if its taken off , standard mani does not look that good with the mounting brackets etc .as dirt said clean it up or give it a lick of paint .
