H&R Sports or Tein Basics

Still there are some things you should know before purchasing Superstreet! You can not adjust its height withtout messing with spring preload and this due to its outmoded design. Furthermore some friends with ej8 had a problem as the maximum height was too low in the rear axle. I thing that the best way you can sort things out is to go for a ride with a civic having some coilovers on and so see for your self. Another bad for TEINS is that they are way too expensive to service.

I would suggest you have a look at the numerous threads regarding coilovers.

thanks sax, much appreciated. i might go around and look, but so far, so good for teins (at least for me personally)

cheers!

i am a bit paranoid right now.this is because i tried out an adjustable sleeve on my oem struts, and all i can hear is clunking sounds on my rears more than my stereo and damn its super stiff and i have been bouncing around like a ball on the road.now,

i had exactly the same problem, try putting the bumpstops back in :nice:
the go betweeen the top plate of the spring and the bottom of the top mount!

yeah.i thought of that too.but i think you wouldn't be able to lower the car right?i might be wrong.hmm..

FYI when using coilover sleeves or drop springs you should not remove your bump stops, what your supposed to do is cut them in half and only use the half so your shock has a little more travel but still has some protection :nice:

hmm..i was told otherwise, so maybe he was wrong..so if put on my tein ss, should i out my bumps?i dont think so right?

If you are adding lowering springs to OEM shocks you must cut the OEM bump stop in half and use the Half.

i will keep this in mind.but i assume i wont be doing this step if i get the full coilover kit right? anyway, my kit is coming this week (supposedly) so there you go,thanks for all the advices and comments.much appreciated!

just to update, i got the tein ss today. damn its so worth the bucks
front 8clicks and rears 10clicks.perfection is all i can say. at least for me.

thanks to everyone.cheers!

N+ has superior design for sure. Which is better, depends on how you define it. SS are more comfortable almost like stock but they don't give you the direct feedback of N+. I suppose that in the track the performance gap will be greater.
