Hello all in the ek9 world

Not too sure of how many people are aware, but Canada has a 15 year import law basically letting us import whatever we like that's 15 and older. I've been able to own an Ef8 and an eg6 over the years but have always wanted a champ white ek9. Well I finally found the love of my life...other than my wife of course :)

Came with tein coils, ssr type c wheels, mugen twin loop cat back and a pivot fan controller. Otherwise bone stock with 140kms on the clock

I must say that I've owned a ton of civics and ludes...some of which in the 12s..but I can honestly say that this is by far my favourite. Still can't believe that I am able to own such a cool car in Canada.

Anyways just thought I'd say hi!

Congrats on the purchase looks stunning :D
Cant be many ek9's around where you live lol :nice:

As far as I know there is one other in the interior of my province. Not sure if its still there.

I have seen five legit dc2's so far though. Seems like they're more common as an import.

Any plans?? Breaking it and sending the pieces to America? Lol

You literally will have to pry this out of my dead cold hands..

First off I'd like to take care of the bodywork. It's going to be a summer toy so I want it as straight as it can be. There's a couple of door dings and oxidation. As far as performance goes I want to be a rolling mugen catalog if possible. Definetly want a 4-2-1 mugen and a test pipe for the exhaust. Probably get an intake. Just really want to do a few bolt ons and then get some wheels with 205s. Really want a set of work Meisters.

Honda got a lot right on this car. If I want to go fast I'll get a k swap eg or something. I wouldn't feel right molesting this car too much

wide heavy meisters seems like a bit of a molestation to me...

keep her as she is, looks great on the c's!

Well then maybe something a bit lighter... Still want a 16x7.5 or 8 to run a 205. The ssr wheels are a bit too skinny.

Welcome to the forum! Is it only forbidden to import and drive a japanese car in the USA? I heared of some seized Skylines in the USA. Is the law in Canada different from the USA?
cheers
Oliver

Thanks everyone. And to answer your question the USA has a 25 year import law for such rhd cars. You are able to black market them in or vin swap to drive them but the Americans are seizing any shady vehicles yes.

Canada has a 15 year law so I can legally own and drive this car in my country and in the states. I just can't sell it down there. I live right on the boarder so I've taken it a couple of times to wa state to see buddies. It turns a lot of heads down there. In Canada though...rhd cars are everywhere.

I do like the ssr's..but would really rather a 16... Maybe some spoon wheels in the future?

Thats very interesting!
How did you get your EK9?

Very nice mate! :nice:

I want to move to Vancouver in about 5 years, so good to know I could take my civic!

Welome to the forum :)

Thanks! Yeah basically apply for transport permit. Ship it over. Get it inspected and your ready to rock. Should take about a week and a half once it gets here. As long as it's 15 or older your good to go. And bring me a mk4 polo too while your at it!
