Has anyone imported a grade R i.e. a repair from Japan ? Or are you all more patient than me and waited for a better example to come along. I'm itching to get my 9 , but the only black one available is an R. Any info would be great.

Spent the weekend at the Ring in Germany but not driving , just being impatient. Thanks for the advice.

ONLY consider a grade R if you can be sure to get the auction sheet translated. Also only then consider it if it has only had a bolt on panels replaced.
All the best, Duncan

I waited 2 months for a black one to come up at auction. Its a 1997 and grade 3.5 with 66k miles on and a grade B (good) interior.
Ive seen some grade 0 that look ok though and are a few hundred quid cheaper.
Check the translation sheet as type r dunk says.

I may sell mine for the right price when it arrives late July as I have a few cars and dont really need it. Wait till I drive it!:)

Thanks for the info guys. There is a pre-facelift black grade 4 one available at the moment, but it has some nasty euro style rear lights, so who knows what else has been ruined on it!

Seen that one. Them lights are an easy change. Get the model report and see what else is done.
There is a black 99 one up aswell.
