my mb6 has a s4c from an ek9 fitted in place of the s9b box originally fitted

for a while iv been having major dificulty selecting reverse...and if it does go into reverse you have to almost bend the lever to get it back out...now its started that all gears are stiff...3rd is now where 1st should be and to find first you almost have to break the centre console...when this happens all gears are really stiff as if something is binding

the past few days sometimes when selecting fifth you will put it in and lift clutch and have no drive...take it in and out a few times and it works like normal...as soon as you drive for a few miles it selects 1-4th smoothly but fifth sometimes goes in but does not give drive...

previous owner had an exedy clutch fitted about 5k ago...sometimes tt most he issues disapear if you stop the engine but most of the time its the same with the engine off or on ??

anyone got any ideas?

yep all looks to be intact, no slop or bends...bloody cars driving me mental...its been 1 problem after another since i got it in may... iv bought a wee eg5 esi to run till this is sorted then ill reshell it into the eg shell...

gearbox always crunched a little going into 3rd but no worse than any other mid-high millage b series box iv driven?

iv got a spare b16 clutch and release bearing but its been used (came from 689r's old b16a2) ill try swapping out the slave cylinder and master cylinder from my coupe and see if it improves things
