Gear keeps popping out!!!!

As the title says, I was on the highway today and as I am driving in fifth gear it kept poppong out and going into neutral... Anyone have any ideas????

get box of and ive to builder and have whatever part is shot replaced

Have you just installed a short shifter did you overtighten the bolt through the base of the shifter I did and had an identical problem, also the shift was very very heavy.

basically, take it of, give it to a shop that is experienced and get them to rebuild it with whatever parts it needs

now being that it is fifth gear, can i put an LS gear which is longer for highway drives or would it have to be the same one?

im not sure what gears are interchangable on your transmission but sure someone will chime in and answer
