Gear box problem

Hi my ek9 gear box seems to have a problem, for some reason it keeps jumping out of 2nd gear and sometimes 3rd aswell and has a problem when selecting down the gears. Also when u let the clutch out fast u get a bad tapping noise in neutral but sometimes goes away, sounds like it's coming from the gearbox or clutch don't know. Can any body give me any adivice.

would expect the problem to be apparant in other gears if the synchros were to blame since 1-2 share a synchro hub and 3-4 share a synchro hub, so for it to just happen in 2 and 3 is odd

best thing to do would be remove the gearbox and inspect the clutch - friction plates on oem clutches are known to crack and one of the springs can let go

if the clutch is ok then you're going to have to have the box opened up and checked

I know this is old but if anyone is having this problem check the two bolts with the spring and ball bearing ,they are what keep you in gear and sometimes the spring just wears or the ball bearing wears ,but check these first if you have said problem.

Hi i would like to know what problem has the gearbox if the car is moving with any gear on its own on low rpm without giving throttle and the car start to making a crazy movement front-back. front-back and if i didnt give a throttle or push the clutch the car will make this continuesly
