Gear box prob

Hi all,when driving my civic at high rpms my gears seems to go in rough with a racking noise,more so if I have been driving for a while.what can cause this help

if its crunching its a synchro problem,a common fault

Could be one of the gearbox bearings on the way out

if it was a bearing prob would it not happen all the time i only get this prob when over 100ks when driving for a while

as said sounds like a synchro problem

try changing the oil might quieten it down a bit

synchros, changing the oil will only mask the problem for a short amount of time

if it has got to the stage that it's crunching bad, the problem will be more than just synchro rings, be looking at replacing synchro hubs too which is a bit more expensive
