Hi, I am putting up for sale my B18c conversion due to going down a different route with my EK9. There is 108k mile on engine and gearbox, but don't let this put you off in the slightest! The engine is very healthy, comes on power very strongly and doesn't smoke at all. I am thinking of going down the K20 route with my car in the near future and need to sell up to provide funds for my new venture.
The engine is hard hitting, comes on vtec strongly and has good low down torque. It does use a little bit of oil over time, but nothing I was worried about, as my previous performance cars used more oil than my B18c does. The stem oil seals are in top condition and doing their job well; there isn't a hint of smoke on vtec. The rocker cover has some paint flaking off it now since the engine has been removed, however i'm sure this won't put off any serious buyers. The plug cover is a carbon fibre style one and looks real well with the red rocker cover. The engine will come with all ancillaries all in good working condition, and will come with the inlet Mani and throttle body also. Wiring loom for prefacelift B18c will also be provided at no extra cost. Overall a fantastic engine & I can show any potential buyers videos upon request. condition 8/10
The gearbox does not crunch into any gear and has no knocks or whines. The standard LSD is tight and operates very well with no issues whatsoever. It is an S80 box with 4.4 fd, stamped LSD also. There is an Exedy clutch fitted also to the gearbox and this engages well and is sharp - never had any issues at all. Condition 9/10
I have plenty of pictures and videos (upon request), and I can put anyone in touch with the previous owner as well for peace of mind, This really is a stunning piece of kit and best bang for buck conversion about I dare say!
