I have very few probs with my ek9 apart from the headlights needing a good buffing up the only other thing is that when driving along the passenger seat seems to squeek when you go round corners or over bumps.

Mate seems to think its the rail needs a bit of grease or a loose bolt somewhere, he is guna have a look next week when its in the garage but just wondered if anyone on here found a similar prob???

I know it sounds a bit stupid but it is annoying and there is not much else to moan about as the rest of the car is basically brilliant lol.

the mounting bolts get loose over time on my car, there is 4 of them, just make sure there all tight, if they are and the seat still squeaks then the rail/slider or reclining mechanisms may be worn out...

Been investigating the squeeky seat and it seems that the bit where you put the seat belt in, i.e the clip is making the noise. Every time you move it, it will squeek and sounds like it just needs a bit of grease.

Problem is i think it plastic and its not the easiest place to grease it, anyone else got similar probs?

I dont want to try and grease it cuz its so close to the seats I dont want to get stains all over the ncie red!!!

Ive just seen this thread and was going to point out thats what causes it.. use either a ptfe spray or tyre-shin like auto-glym onto a cloth and wipe the recaro plastic part and inside edge of the seatbelt socket. works like a charm :nice:

The noise on mine comes from there also. Was terrible during the winter. But, now the noise has gone completely. Ek9turbos method is worth trying :nice:
