Found this...

It does exist, a very basic EK9 designated for racing so came with a low spec interior as race teams would just rip it out. Should be cheaper than the normal ones as really it is not as good as a road car, but some people seem to think thy are worth more than the regular models. Can you say 'Scene Tax y0?!'

as said was designeed for more or less race purposes very basic and in many ways lacks everything that an ek9 has bar the engine and spoiler. great if its being used for track but not so equipped for daily use

As said above! Goodbye ABS / AC / EW /Airbags / etc etc

They did the same thing for "race base" DC5's :)

I've not heard of specific race edition as the advert describes and I'm doubtful as to whether it came as 4 stud from the factory, taking out some of the JDM which makes an EK9 different and yet they leave PS.

My brother has the race base (as opposed to the N1 race-base) and further things for you to check on the car is the clocks (the carbon-fiber surround should have stock inserts for some of the dash lights which aren't used) and the front crash bar should be a rectangular pole welded between the two pokey-out pillars instead of a large crash bar stuck to the front of the pokey-out pillars.

Whether it is what it says or it isn't, as Kozy says, it's worth less than a normal EK9 and not more.
