as the title says,

looking to change to 16's what is the best size tyre to got for compaired to the fact the the standard it 195/55/15?

any help greatly appreciated!!

205 45 R16 is as close to stock size as you will get buddy however i just put 195 45 on my 16 inch rims coz of the difference in tyre price and it doesnt make that much of a difference.

yeah 195 45 16`s are much cheaper,

go for something with as stiff a sidewall as possible

215/45/16 is the size that is closest to stock, as used on the 98spec ITR.

Otherwise I would use 225/40/16 if it's available to you.

the 205/45/16 is a no hassle fitment, meaning it is most likely not going to rub if you don't have the means to adjust for more negative camber.

215/45/16's are .1% closer to stock than a 205/45/16 but the 215's are taller than stock, the 205's end up being shorter. If you can find a 215/45/16, it wouldn't be a bad option because you have more grip, but 205/45/16's are much easier to find.
Don't go for the 195/45/16 because they will give you a centimeter less contact patch.

Just fitted some 16" Regamasters with 205/45/16 tyres and I am very impressed. Handling seems more assured if you know what I mean.
