HI Folks. thanks for your comments. good to know im not the only crazy guy loving a little honda
Sorry for my missing updates. if you want to be up2do please refer to my blog:
The real JDM EK9 Project Blog
but I'll try to keep this thread more up2date in future
so i'll try to tell you what happend the last weeks:
1) Got some new parts:
- J's Racing rear lower arm bar:
- Cusco master brake cylinder stopper (for car's with ABS)
- Sergeant (Japan) Billet coolant hoses with Water-temp Sensor attachement
first i sanded down and resprayed the cusco thing in flat black, because the blue color just doesn't match my color-concept:
2) then i also got a little upgrade for my garage, really makes it much easier working on the car:
3) Well i decided to mount the cusco brake cylinder stopper and at the sime time tuck a little wires (means hide some things):
I removed a bracket behind the driver strut-tower and rerouted the cables deeper so it's no more visible and also rerouted the battery-wire who belongs to t he ABS-fusebox (i think) on the right strut tower. then i removed the sticker on the right strut tower and placed it in the codrivers door (i need a sticker about car informations here in switzerland)
before:
after (hope you can see the difference. mostly near the firewall):
not a big difference but makes the car quite cleaner
here some work in progress pictures:
Cusco master brake cylinder stopper installed:
4) Now i decided to mount the Sergeant coolant hoses, but sadly the blue samco hoses don't fit the colour-sheme too and i decided to go for something not-so-flashy. so i bought a universal black flat coolant hose at the local spareparts-shop yesterday:
looks much more stealthy
left: Seargeant billet hose with blue samco connecting-hoses. right: Flat black hose.
will need to cut the black hose in fitting sizes next days and see if i can hook up the whole thing. the black hose only will replace the blue connector-hoses. no worry. the billet parts will be in
next tasks will be to catch up a spoon resonator remover thing (Direct airflow pipe) and remove both the upper and lower intake resonator boxes. I'll also try to hide the black earthing wire that comes from the head and goes directly to the headlight-bracket. just doesn't look nice
then we'll see. im trying to save some money for a JIC suspension. we'll see. I'll keep you up 2 date
