Hey guys, after my first month of ownership I finally had my first blast into northwales tonight in the ek9 type r.
The roads were empty and dry and I could really open up the vtec.... All I can say is WOW, for a 15 year old car I can't believe how good is it it has really surprised me.
I have previously owned a dc5 which I thought was a great car and the power delivery was sweet, the power isn't as progressive in the ek9 but the handling in this is so easy and more involving again.
I can't wait for another free evening!!!

they are a great car, no doubt:nice:
comparison with dc5?

whereabouts are you based?

i was in North Wales all weekend :)

hello and welcome, im looking to buy an ek9 and test drove one yesterday for the first time, i can see why they have the reputation they have

I live in Buckley near mold, it's the first time I've driven it since I bought it. It's been garaged an in workshop for the best part of a month.

Compared to the dc5.... I like both a lot, I sold the dc5 under duress so is a sensitive subject, but the handling in this is better, I think I want the dc5 engine and gearbox in the ek9!

Can't wait till the tegs all fixed to get my first go in it!! The waiting is killing me

Also had mine only 2 months what a car love how the recaros feel and the handling is amazing, enjoy and take care though
