i finally made my mind up now took me along time to decide whether to boost my ek4 or to keep it N/A. now i am 100% committed to turboing it. just need few feedback on how to gain between 270bhp -300bhp and atleast 230ft lbs torque or more the better. so far this what im starting off with

B16a2 head B18c4 block head and block is stock.
i just need to know where i can get hold of low compression b18c4 pistons and the ideal comp ratio for this build also any further parts i need to make the block strong enough for this amount of power. ive got all the turbo piping intercooler but just need to get a decent turbo and which one to go for i heard ball bearing ones ment to be the better ones. any advice will be awesome if you have links for a site that can supply me the pistons will be awesome.

Thanks

I think you need to have a good chat with WILL (EK9turbo) mate, he will be able to advise you & can supply all the parts you will need!

You can get pistons from most vendors on ek9.org, Garrett GT series turbo's are indeed the best. Do you already have a turbo manifold?

hey blinx i havnt got one yet but im thinking of getting a custom one made depends if i buy a turbo that comes with the manifold, im just being buying seperate parts instead of getting the cheap egay stuff.

Piecing together your own kit is not a bad option, there are good kits out there though, like the Edelbrock/PeakBoost/Full-Race/AFI/etc... Anyhow good luck and may i suggest if you end up going with forged low comp pistons and rods step up to a larger turbo like a GT3076R and aim for about 380-420bhp :) A stock b16 with simply pistons and rods can handle that with ease!

thats awsome power for the money, how do the boxs fair up to this sort of power tho and what mods/gearkits are available?

OEM transmission can handle well into 600whp if driven properly... Now some people have broken OEM transmissions with only 300whp launching on slicks with tons of wheel hop, but like i said, its all in how you drive.

hi guys sorry to hijak the thread for a moment but all in all how much are you looking at to do a turbo job lik ye are suggesting on an ek9???:)

depends on your area and what components you use.

the only thing that will cost me will be the forge pistons rods, and buyin an actual decent turbo not the ebay crap the labour and stuff is free luckly my mate is not charging me except for combining the b18 with the b16.

here 3 sellers to chose from:

eagle wiseco b18c, great deals on eBay Motors on eBay!

If ordering from USA make sure to ask for B18c1 or GSR fitment as the B18c4 is equivalent to our B18c1 Integra GSR engine.

They can handle well north of 600whp, some people have taken them over 800whp!
