FEEL'S 4-2-1 for B16 or B18?

Hi all,

I bought my Feel's (Honda Twin Cam Works) manifold a few years ago.

(same as this one: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/747877/+1760 )

At that time, I was running a B16A2 in my EG6. But I swapped this for a B18C-R (spec '98).
I heard that there was a difference in the manifolds that Feel's makes for the B16 of B18.
Does anybody know how I can figure this out? Maybe by measuring the diameter of the runners,...? Or is this just a rumor?

I want to do some changes to my intake too. So I need a retune anyway. But I want to know if my manifold is designed for the B16 of B18. If I have the B16-one, it might be a little restrictive...

Cheers,
Willem

Hi Willem, Hope your good.

I would imagine its maybe 2.25. Try measuring it with a vernier gauge with the 98 manifold?

Thx for the response Irf.
But I found out, that I have the B18 version.
These manifolds were made by Maxim Works. It turns out that the design for a B16 is different then for a B18 (also the diameters of the runners).
B18: http://www.suruga-performance.com/i...s-exhaust-manifold-dc2-integra-type-r-98.html (the one I have)
B16: http://www.suruga-performance.com/i...s/maxim-works-exhaust-manifold-eg6-civic.html

This info might be helpfull for other people ;-)

Interesting, Thanks for posting up. Are the diameter the same for both?

Any updates to your eg6?

The Maxim Works and Feel's headers should be identical... There is very little info on the Feel's (unless you understand Japanse). I have to double check the diameters of the pipes... But normally I should have the 45-50.8-60.3 version... I have the 2.5" (~60.3) flange and the design is identical, so... I guess the other diameters should be the same too...

As for the EG6. I bought an Edelbrock Performer X and Skunk2 Alpha (66mm) TB. I'm also planning on buying a Velocity stack (6" -> 3") intake, 2.5" decat and delete the A/C. Still doubting about changing the Feel's manifold (for a Toda manifold, but I can't find a genuine). I want to leave the engine stock... And then a remap :)

We are heading to Japfest again (normally with a stand, like last year) on the 16th of May.

Cheers,
Willem
