any one come across these anymore. i used loved them when i was younger. just saw one on tv there and brought back memories lol
 
Yea I still see a couple going about my area! I have a massive soft spot for them! :) they are great looking cars if looked after and in standard form, shame about the performance and reliability tho!:(

My mate built one up from a rolling shell and its the nicest I have ever seen but he went through 3 engines in a couple of years and spent about 10k on it then sold it for about 2k!! :(

If I came into alot of cash one day I would have a fiesta and escort RS turbo in a flash! :)
 
Escort RS turbo series 1 is my favourite car! more than my 9! but you need alot of money to run them! especially being carb and so on. but like said above if i had lots of money i would buy one!
but i dont see how your friend got threw 3 engines! running too much boost for stock internals? aslong as these things are kept cool and dont run too much boost for stock they will run fine! when i had my ep3 a lad a know had a series 2 with few bits and bobs running stock boost (12.5psi i think) and he was gone like a rocket! but then had to be left to cool for 10 mins before another go! haa.

Love these cars though!
 
I use to have s2 rs turbo. Was a great car with plenty of torque stear. Also rust is the biggest killer. Mine had a fair bit that was coming through that you couldn't see!
 
love the fez`s here my best mates for anyone interested . he lives in glasgow but is an essex boy at heart .

Yea my mate went through 3 engines but I think mainly because he has no patience!! He would rebuild the engine then give it the pure beans straight away!lol I have told him many times that he is a pure plum!lol especially since I said I would have taken his car off him and looked after it the way he should have!

1st engine he had the stock turbo on it running a bit more boost with a kent cam and a tune by dastek but it died. cant remember what happenend, thing it melted a piston!

2nd engine was a 1.9 tall block from america (spelling?) brand new, got it mapped at AVA and it was running 210bhp with a mega spec but he just didnt give it time to run in and something ripped its way out of the block!

then 3rd engine was basically standard and he blew the turbo then got pissed off and sold it as a non turbo! :( If I can find pics I will post up, it was a grey colour, absolute mint!

I had a couple series 2's about ten years ago,still really like them but would'nt buy one again,rust was an issue back then so you can imagine what they are like now.
Ek9beast on here has a mint 90 spec on an H plate in grey with a genuine 60k on the clock,he's owned it for 5 years or so,beautiful car.
 
mate had one biggest pile of shite i ever drove id say youd have to get a really good example to condone getting one.
