erattic voltage??

just noticed this today, when driving the voltage on the neo is jumping between 12.00 v up to 13.8 or so nearly constantly, yet if i turn the lights on it stays at 13.8 or so....what would cause this??

Sounds like the voltage regulator in your alternator. Does the voltage hold steady once your driving along?

it seems to only happen as im braking then it will fluctuate. if i put the lights on it holds steady! head is wrecked!!!

yep also think its the voltage regulator! had this prob myself then the alternator finally packed in!! ive got my old one fully reconditioned as i bought a secondhand one straight way to get me outa a hole if ya want to buy or even try?
