Let my friend drive my Ep3 a few day's ago and he hit the limiter in 2nd, and I drove it home hard on the dually after, and since then the Noise from the engine bay doesn't sound as sweet like it did!

Just sounds noisier, not in a good way!

Can anyone help or put my mind at ease.

Hmm may have bent a valve or two at a guess do a compression check to see if you have any bent valves

Doubt you'd have damaged anything just hitting the limiter once, or was he downshifting at the time?

I can't see it hurting anything, unless the car has done like 130k+ miles or the limiter is set at like 10 or 11k or the engine was low on oil or water at the time.

Could be the LMA's have gone (Lost motion assemblies)

They go quite a lot in B series engines and can make the engine sound noisy, not sure if the K series has LMA's someone else on here will be able to confirm this I'm sure.

Could be, but even my Mrs said it didnt sound as well in tuned when I drove it hard a few days after!

It's probably just me being myself, theres probably nothing wrong atall, it drives spot on still, it just sounds like theres more noise comming from the engine bay! Like a tapping noise off somesort!

Is it worth taking it to Honda or is that a waste off time
