Eletrical problems

On my EK9 recently I have been getting some start up problems due to some kind of electrical problem.

When I start my car, it tries to start then the power cuts off. After a few attempts at starting, it would start, but all my radio channels would disappear.
This doesn't happen all the time but it is very random, sometimes it doesn't even happen for several weeks.
I don't drive my car often maybe 2-4 times a week.

One time after a long drive, I parked my car and a few minutes later wanted to move it to another spot and I couldn't start it, there was no power at all. I left it for a few hours and tried to start it again and it started first time no problem.

I have changed the battery 3 times now, also a mechanic has checked my earth points, checked my alternator and re-charged my battery as well as checked it's condition for me just to be sure.


My car has a viper alarm system which was on the car from Japan, an after market immobiliser, and an after market radio.

The after market radio, I have used on my old car and it didn't have any power problems.

Odd thing is that I have had my car for over a year and only recently it has started to do this. There has been no electrical changes at all.

Anyone know what it could be?

Id pull the alarm and imobalizer see if it happens again..alarms can be silly things ehen they start acting up.
