Electric window regulator problem

hi guys.

just got back into the land of Honda with a little EJ9.

bought her knowing that the drivers window wasnt working. you can here the motor going so i assumed the electrics and regulator motor were fine. upon taking the door apart today i found a piece of wood holding the glass in place.
i took it out and assumed the window would drop but it didnt.

the weathers a bit shitty so i didnt strip the glass and regulator but im just wondering if anyone has any ideas?

Just for anyone who's interested.

Last time I checked on ling's, New window regulator's were £55 or there abouts, Alot cheaper than I had expected .
