ek9 Vtec solenoid

I want to clean out my solenoid on my 9, and ive never done it before and was jus wondering if you guys no how it exactly comes off and what to use to clean it, also was going to change my fuel filter are they hard to take off too??

Vtev solinoid is a piece of piss.

Put a rag around the bottomm as it will leak a small amount of oil.

then undo the bolts holding it to the engine

Then remove the mesh filter in it and inspect it if the rubber is perished then replace it and check the mesh is still complete.

If all is good i gave mine a wipe down with a clean cloth with some new oil rubbed on after.

Then replace everything and give it a good clean around.

This is how to clean the filter for the soliniod if the filter is full of **** then it may be worth checking inside the soliniod.

It will proberly be fine it will only be shagged if your car has been run on **** oil.

Fuel filter . . . do a search mate on here sure there is a how to allready done.
