Hi guys, I got an ek9, but the colour seems to have faded away, its more creamy kind of colour, i just wanted to know whats the best solution for this without having to spend lots on a full respray. thanks guys
also take note that championship white is kind of an off white.so even after a full respray it would still have that slightly cream tint to it..its really noticable when parked to another white car.. a white subaru for example..
As stated, Champ White is more 'Racing Magnolia' anyway. Ive had two fresh imports now though, and they both came with a fine coating of dock-crust that I couldnt shift with a mitt and bubbles. Halfrauds has started to stock three different types of clay bar kits now. They aint cheap and require a good afternoons graft but they make a massive difference so give one a go.
I'd recommend meguiars quik clay kit... I've bought two myself ond one for a friend with a grime covered Cupra in the past. The halfords pack has a leather and wax in for £25 but you can get just the clay and lube spray by themselves from amazon. Meguiar's Quik Clay Starter Kit: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike
yh thanks for the advice guys, i bought a T cut clay bar kit which includes the spray, wax, microfibre cloth.
I also bought autoglym resin polish with a terry cloth, my plan was to wash the car, then clay it, then polish it, then wax it, and hopefully that will work
If you decide to get it machine polished, get it done by a pro...the workable paint thickness on the Original CW paint on the EK9 is tiny, thinner than a sheet of paper!!
