Hey guys,
I just bought a new set of 6x9 speakers for the rear and 6.5" for the front and I was wondering how to put them on the car.
Now I had Pioneer speakers in the car but when I unclipped them from the wire it had a white clip which the new speakers didn't.
Is it alright if I just cut of the wire near the clip and china connector them to the speaker or I'll do damage to the speaker ?

Thanks guys,
Jerry.

Alrite mate, you just need to change the end on then mate. just clip off where the clip is on the front and put on the required connection :)
You might need to customise your front doorcards to make your speakers fit as the pods are quite small

hehe yeah yeah .. finally some good sound!!
Fitted in my new Kenwood headunit :)
Now getting the speakers sorted out .
I have a 98 civic and I have new rear and front speakers.
The clip to the speaker is quite simple just clip on ... but how do I connect the other side ( just bare 2 core wire ) to the already existing wires?

Cus if I do it wrong I'll end up with dogdgey sound =(

nice dude :)
Erm you will need to wrap them round the connectors or if there is a specific connection you could buy that buy wrapping it round will do the job. Although you will need to wrap tape around the bare wire when connectin becuase if you dont and it touches the metal inside of the door it will shot out and not work lol just take your time man and make sure its all workin before you put the door-card back on :nice:

All four speakers up and runnin :) :) thanks man .... Had to cut out some extra plastic but work like a charm :) :)
Jerry

no probs mate, as I said thought you would need to cut some plastic out

I have a small query,
When I put the volume up .... there would be a sound of like ... distortion in the speakers. Even when I put the bass level down. Do you have to wire the speakers well?
I mean I just put any wire to any speaker or is there a specific wire to go in the positive and negative?
Thanks guys.
I have one wire all black and the other black and red.
