EK9 replica, thoughts?


looks pretty cool and a lot of attention and time spent on it, but according to exchange rates it's just under £7000 mark. Never over here would anyone pay for an EK9 replica. not sure how you guys do things across the pond though.
 
Thats just a crazy price, but 1 thing i did notice was the wing, he said it was a real CTR.
I never knew the CTR's came with a third brake light.

yeah, we really cant get a real one out here.
This is one of the best I have found so far.
Going to take a look at it this week, hope its as good as it reads and shows in the pictures.

I cant figure out one thing, why did he install a turbo timer? All I can figure is to use it as a cool down tool, but that would not be needed if he did one cool down lap.

This civic has a certificate "BAR referee sticker since 2006" to allow a b18c5 engine and still be legal in California.
To me this is key as my track car has the same engine, and I could use the car to break in a new engine on the street.

Anywho...

if it was over here it wouldnt be worth that much nowhere near that ad say 4k maybe 4500, but its different over your way with the law ect so if you want it then go get it haha good luck with whatever you choose to do
 
By no means is this a real EK9...totally understood.

For a daily driver this would be perfect.
And as close as Im going to get with what you all have enjoyed for years.

Ah I see! Considering the circumstances, I guess it ain't so bad! I hope you get it at a price you are happy with though. Still looks like a fantastic ek :)

About the brake light on the spoiler, that would be a rep I guess. Always see them for sale on eBay but not like that style on this ek, it's under the wing rather than on the curve. Looks better like this too! Be sure to get more pics up if you buy this!
 
Doesn't really matter what people think. If your happy with the price and the car then that's what counts! GHB!

i would need to change the hubs over to 4x100 pattern and brake caliper & disk upgrade...other than that its what I am looking for esp with the b18c5 sitting in there.
 
Nice car i think, I think the price is high to us as the parts in the U.S are alot more money, Looks like the owner knows what he is doing also, all looks good.

With those coilovers it'll be a hoot to drive, not like your race machine tama but will be nice suspension for the road.

let us know if you buy it :D thats obvious lol.
 
that things not worth anymore than 3k in ireland

for $11k you could buy two good clean genuine EK9s here in ireland
 
I don't know about the clean,genuine part but you could definitely buy two ek9s in ireland for that price:)

At 11k it seems at the high end for the US. Really like he's trying to get what he put into it-never happens with cars. Looks clean though. I'm interested to hear your opinion after you've driven and looked at it in person. Also, to hear the final negotiated price if you end up getting it. Hope things work out for you!

Actually now that I think about it-probably isn't too overpriced... but I bet you could get it for 9K.
