I know that some of you guys are running the Spoon / Vision low seat rails on your Recaro's. As I understand the Bride RO rails also bolt perfectly to the DC2/EK9 and DC5 Recaros. My question is does anybody know which ones are lower? The technical literature states that the Spoons are up to 50mm lower than standard whereas the Bride's are up to 30mm. Does anybody have these fitted to an EK9 to provide a comparison or provide photos / measurements?

The Bride RO's I had for my EF8 were really solid, well built and functioned perfectly. Again some users on here have complained about the Spoon build quality and the operation of them. Anybody provide an unbiased opionion?

My EK9 was purchased as a shell with no interior. I am slowly rebuilding her with the intention of fitting the standard Recaro's but I dont want to buy standard rails only to buy lower position ones down the line. I think it would be best to ask the question, gauge peoples opionions and then come to a decision.

The positive I can think of at the moment with regard to the Brides is that if I decide down the line to purchase other seats (Brix 2) then they will bolt up fine to the RO's.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice given.

Like the spoons a lot, but have no comparison to make against other low rails. Only gripe with them is that they only lock on one side, so can sometimes feel a slight movement under braking acceleration. Easily fixed with a few cable ties though and the positives by far outweigh the negatives!!

try ftting a feel's lowering subframe. it felt lower than my friends spoon/ vision r subframe and is of better build quality as locks both sides. feels like your sitting on the floor literally!

Thanks for the replies guys, I think that I will end up going with the Feels rails. They look very similar to the Brides (locking on both sides) but seem to be lower!

Im not exactly a small or very light guy and really dont like the sound of the Spoons / Visions only locking on one side. I will keep you all posted once ive saved some cash to buy them.

Where can you buy the feels ones and how much are they?

any body have a link?
sucks when you get a recommendation with no website!

Vtec direct sell them at rediculous prices hah they want like £280. The spoon rails they want £300 and there only £125 direct from Spoon! How that guy makes any sales is beyond me.

Ive put a couple of calls out to a contact in Japan asking for clarification on prices for single units and on multiple quantities for both drivers side and passenger side Feels brackets. As soon as I receive a reply I will post my findings. Depending on prices and general interest maybe we could organise a group buy?

In past experiences with sourcing parts from Japan I have almost always opted for Sea freight as it is the cheapest method for shipping but it would probably take around 8 weeks!

I have been talking to a local shipping company here in Southampton and as soon as my contact confirms prices, weights and dimensions of packaging the shipping agent will give me an accurate price for shared container shipping, fully insured.

As my 9 is in pieces I am not in a rush for the parts and waiting the 8 weeks is no hardship for me, but everyone is different!

I will keep you all posted.

Just to let you know I was speaking with Touge earlier, they said the feels are no longer available but the bride rails are highly rated. The spoons aren't as good due to only locking on one side. They also currently have 10% off all bride products and offer a container shipment from Japan making it pretty reasonable. Their price is £136 (iirc) for the container and it leaves 14th April or so. This price does not include the 10% off and you need to email them to get a discount code for this which I guess brings it down to the £120's each. Not a bad deal tbh.

Spoon ones are still available, they took the old ones off the market, and released the new version (which lock on both sides) but are a little bit more expensive than before.

This is a noob question but I have the bride lower seat rails from my dc5 which has now sold and was wundering if they will fit an ek9?
I have had no luck trying to find out?

Cheers bob:)
