Im sure billy will get it checked one time when he's back but he's a bit busy at the mo. I never meant it would be quicker than his b18, but to be fair, it is quicker than their db8 now. 1/4 mile times are probably the best/only way to show if tuning/mods have made an ACTUAL difference though. You dont race your car on a dyno.
The afr's are around 13.5, not running mega timing though. Keeping it nice and safe. Power (torque!) does seem to drop off a little before the 9k redline. But thats how it was designed. The manifold was designed for a standard b16a2 so peak torque (resonance) around 7k but on billys this equates to a nice broad powerband. It would benefit from some better cams but we'll have to see. And then you take it to a different dyno on the same day and get a totally different figue. The runs were taken at the same strip in similar weather conditions.

I knew it, you just cant mention anything about power figures and dynos being unimportant on a forum like this without some keyboard warrior piping in thinking he knows best. My cars always dyno well, fwiw. Do you happen to know its torque that matters, not power? And that even if a car had a not so great 'power curve' on a dyno it could still out-perform a car with a perfect 'power curve' out on the road? Dyno's dont accurately re-produce real world conditions, any reputable tuner will follow up any dyno session with some road/track tuning, dyno's are a time saving device, and something that allows people like you to race your car without ever putting it on a track. Whats the matter? you afraid of racing?:nerv:

range. But if torque was all tht mattered we'd
all drive diesels.

Also have you ever been to crail dragstrip? It's pish, nothing about it is comparable. I ran a 14.9 there with a stock b16a2 ;)

and your comment about being afriad to race is laughable as anyone who knows me
on here will verify. Infact I'd put 20£ on me beating billys car at better dragstrip than crail that I know off.

I didn't jump to defensive, you suggested my mapping 'isn't great' and my power curves might be 'pish'. Hardly jumping.

Again trying to say your car is quicker than billys, couldnt care less. All i said was billys car is obviously alot quicker than it was. Sounds like someone else is on the defensive there like.
Tbh i wouldn't care if billys car dyno'ed at 180bhp, it is proven faster than it was. A good deal.

Aha yes when I mention crail in comparison it's blah blah blah but you can use it in comparison for billys times ha. Pretty sure teh blue Ek with your itbs ran a **** time

not what i meant but nevermind, you're obviously a tit. And which one? there were 2. both were pretty good for the state of tune. My points are still completely valid whatever times they run, as they showed marked improvement, whether thats 16 secs down to 15, or 13 down to 12 it doesn't matter. If you can do better please step up.
I just dont get cocks like you, i mean really? what is you're motivation for completely hijacking billys thread? Are you trying to say I dont know my job? or are you trying to say that anyone who tunes at the track or on the road doesn't have a clue? Or both?
Or are you suggesting you know more about tuning?
My tuning is well proven, and so are my methods. Its not like im new to this game.
I feel like ive really let myself down by replying this time. Its such a sad little game you're playing. This is why i stay off forums. This could have been an informative thread about individual throttle bodies and billys car but instead its a pissing contest about how dynos are everything to you. I couldn't care less how much horsepower you think you've got. Or whatever else it is you're ranting on about. Carry on.

yea i only had few shots of my ek9 my preggers wife was driving that day at crail and got down to the same time as the b18ek9 that was there (after she relised u needed to shift fast during gear changes pmsl) i heard his mani was fooked , no one has said its faster than a b18 why would it its not stroked and basically intake ,mani ,exhaust with a tune

oh and crail yes is pish i have raced a differeent ek9 on a different day an both couldnt get under 16

hopefully dyno'd tommorow if wife can get booked in i aint to bothered what it makes because it drives oem no shuttering or hesatation and performs beyond standard plus it sounds ***

only reason im dynoin cause im selling it soon and im sure new owner will want one
