EK9 factory weight reduction

No windscreen is the exact same part number. I have heared about that too. Maybe the parcel shelf was an option on the EK9. EK4 SiR have a parcel shelf as standard for sure.
Windscreens are different. I'm waiting on one to come from Japan.

Don't know if your method of checking part numbers for specifics like weight reduction is too accurate for a model like an ek9...

Lol rumours are bulldog. again I compared the part numbers! Trust me its the same ;-)

I was told never to trust a man over the Internet :secret:

But in all seriousness, I am almost certain they are different.

73111-S03-Z00 is the part number for the 1998, 1999 and 2000 EK9 and 1998, 1999 and 2000 EK4 SiR windscreen. The manufacturer is AP-Tech. The windscreen is green
73111-S03-Z10 is the part number for the 1996 and 1997 EK4 SiR windscreen. The manufacturer was Asahi. The windscreen is green.
Honda only changed the manufacturer which produded the windscreens for them. Maybe AP-Tech offered Honda the windscreens cheaper. I dont know.
Please do not mix the JDM EK4 SiR with the EDM EK4 VTI! Thats why I wrote EK4 SiR! If you compare The EDM EK4 VTI with the EK9 you are right that the windscreens are different.
cheers guys

If you have a better method these days let me know! I am open for people who figure out the weight difference from this 2 cars by their own and are willing to share the result with us :)

Also, Flywheel weight difference is one to consider for your list.
Flywheel was not lighter on the EK9. I had the same thought.
