ek9 door speakers size?

If you like good sound then I would recommend a bit of dampening. Normally I'd recommend dampening the whole door but not on a sportscar and especially not on a Type R But what I would do, is put some dynamat (or something similar that isn't so insanely expensive, but I don't know the english word for it ) over the holes in your door to make sure you got a housing for your speaker and 1 mat directly behind the woofer. That will only add 2-3kg's for both sides, but with some good 16,5cm speakers give you some real bass and eliminate the need for a subwoofer to reproduce real bass I've done the same thing in my EG5 and I get bass from my doors from a budget 30 pound 13cm speaker (Fusion, for those who are interested).

I can already hear some people complaining about adding weight but when you drive the car daily you will probably spend more time enjoying the good sound of your stereo than enjoying the 2-3kg weight saving that you would have from not adding dampening. Better take a **** everytime you go for a drive if you care that much for it
