i want to no wat is the best s80 gearbox 4 my 97 ek9?? i heard 96 spec has longer 4th nd 5th bt i heard 98 spec has shorter 1st nd 2nd..my car is pushin out 215 bhp she has 4.9 final drive nd dats wit civic gearbox i jus wana get d right s80 4 her..so any thoughts ye ave will help me out tanks :)
 
im using a 98spec s80 with the 4.7fd and 4th and 5th gears from 96spec s80. cant fault the set up.........

Try to avoid text talk on here friend.

And yes the shorter 4th + 5th from a 96 spec dc2 box/ek9/ek4 etc will help.

So do you think the 96 spec S80 would suit my car best, lads?
What about the 99 or 2000 spec? Have you got any information on them?

are your on the motorway much? if so the longer 5th will save some fuel or do you want all out performance?
