Hi guys

I have an EK4 with EK9 shocks and spring.

In the back all of the bushings has been changed to Energie suspension/Prothane PU bushings.

Soon i will have the ASR brace fitted with an JDM 23mm rear swaybar.

The thing is, that the back gives me ton of information mainly because of the bushings, but it also has his downside when going over bumps etc.
Eventhough i have DC2 recaro seats sometimes its to harsh.

I've always intended to replace the front bushing for PU
Cause the front feels weak compared to the back
If i do this, wil the car be more balanced and can i overcome the harshness with lets say Tyres with an higher wall or maybe less pressure in the tyre?

Cause it brakes down like this

Im trying to find the right balance for my driving style
So it needs to be firm and can hold up at high speeds
but it also needs a little comfort when driven daily.

I have the feeling that im almost there. I'd rather not get the trailerbushings out but maybe thats the way to go

Hope u can help me out

Grtz

remove the PU from the rear, adding PU in the front will only increase harshness. I had a similar problem with my suby after i added swaybars, i preferred to putt he OEM ones back but i just lowered tire pressure to 29psi instead :D

Aah tnx m8

but didnt it felt sluggish after using the OEM trailingarm bushings again?
cause the rear is freakishly solid now :)

ow wait i'm i correct in saying that u intented to replace OEM but only decrease tyrepressure instead?

I wouldn't compromise performance by lowering the tires too much, or by getting tires with softer side walls.

If I were you, I'd finish off the front end to even out the performance front to rear. I would have to assume that after you finish the front, the car will feel balanced and the rear won't stand out as harsh, the car will just feel solid.

Plus I would replace the rear trailing arm bushings with preferably spherical bearing, or OEM. You need some movement in that area.

But if you really just want to go back to some OEM comfort, but don't want to un-do your PU bushing work in the rear, start with replacing the rear trailing arm bushings back to stock.

After you add the 23mm rear bar the car will handle a lot like an EK9, which means it'll be comfortable in the straights but flat in the corners.

tnx for the advice

I think i will finish suspension tuning by replacing front rubbers for PU
so i get total balance. then if it still feels to harsh i will replace big rubbers for OEM first like the Trailingarm etc.

ta for the info ppl

keep you posted
