United or City?? United United United .......just thought id say hi
basically love the ek9 and never bought 1 simply down to insurance (live in manchester) so had to do with ek4
ManosEK9 said:Its so stupid insurance companies to rate EK9 as car of high danger but an EK4 not If its a matter of performance, they have no much difference.
I understand your point NEO, but if its a matter of improvements in braking, suspension, handling in general then this is another reason for insurance companies not to charge much higher for EK9 compared to EK4, right?? As far as I know, the charge goes higher the more the engine displacement - hp or if its R. So if its not about safety but for performance, then the two cars have the same displacement, almost the same torque and 15 hp difference only, even if I agree with you that they are completely two different cars Suppose I'm going from a normal car i.e 90,100,110....hp to an EK4. The difference in performance is bigger than going from EK4 to EK9, but the charges are not so different. Anyway, my opinion is that the charge must be higher but not that highhi mate welcome to the site
There is a big difference in driving an ek4 and an ek9, the handling is totally different as is the drive, brakes and performance, vtec is way more aggressive in an ek9 also
the ek4 and ek9 are built totally different, even though many people think they are the same they are not, completly different to drive too hence the insurance being so high compared to the ek4
there is obvious differneces but not so obvious ones too such as the chassis on the ek9 being longer, wider and stronger
ek4s are lovely cars too, heres a pic of my old one
btw: insurance quote based on veh groupings! that being engine power (hP), size of veh (damage it can create on a crash), and stolen rate (if they r common stolen veh).
