When I got the EK 3 the o/s rear sat quite a bit lower than the n/s, garage said it could only be the springs, well just had some LO 30mm drop springs fitted with the second had shocks that were in great nick with a lot lower mileage than mine fitted, and, issue is still there...

Any idea what can be making the height difference from both sides? I know they changed a load of bushes and stuff too but not sure which ones, bit peeved that this didn't sort is as wanted to lower it but was also going to wait, thanks...

This man speaks the truth ^^^^^^^^

Did the same when I rebushed all my car, check my build thread for the correct way to mount them

Garage did say something about the 2 lower arms being the same, so both LH or both RH ones and so one was the other way up, although they didn't know which was the right one, will check your thread and see, hopefully get this sorted...

Just read through the thread, seems self explanatory, going to see if the garage will do it for free seeing as it should be easy enough and one of the reasons I told them I wanted to change everything was to sort out the uneven height...

Has it been to accidents? :/

Seems to have had a few bumps, the passneger side rear which is what is sitting higher has had one but garage didn't say anything looked out of place when they changed all the suspension...

As for the LCA's just checked them today and they look the same as Ashy C's correct ones on the build thread, so any further ideas? :(

are they new or second hand springs ??

Brand new springs, the car looked the same (well not as low but still the passenger side sitting higher) before the new springs and shocks went on...

I've got the exact same problem only after fitting my coilovers, d2 lower arms and bushing the whole car. I coilovers are same amount of thread wound in and same preload. The d2 arms are new aswell and look identical so dont think I've got them on the wrong sides. If anyone can shed some light it would be much appreciated!

Can some one measure the arch clerance both sides.

No car is perfect and i had to drop my coilovers approx 10mm one side to get the same arch clearance.

Try new shocks? Just because they were fine on the last car doesn't mean they may still be okay. Seems the more feasible cause to me

Is it okay to have coilovers wound in at different lengths on the same axle? From a geometry/handling point of view ?

Oh and the n/s/r is 15mm less than the o/s/r measuring from the centre of the hub to the bottom of the arch.

new spring & coilover need time to settle in(down) speck to the maker they should have a guild line how long

Mine had exactly the same before the springs and shocks were changed so that puts them out as the culprit. Garage have said take it back in and they'll get it on the ramp, take a look and measure everything but they didn't see anything wrong before. Might just be me but seems to have settled a little now, will see how it looks in a week, strange one this but thanks for all the help...

For perfection then yes it is absolutely needed. Do you honestly think every car is perfectly built with the same camber and allignment settings and with bodywork positioned mm perfect. in order to get mine correct i spend a good few weeks of constant measuring and fine adjustment on the flatest location i could find. I am now roughly within a few mm all round...

I know you have different shocks but are you missing the rubber inside the top hat on one side?

Are the springs correctly seated within the shock. If they are not the spring will twist and prevent the shock from sitting at its natural level.

I will check with the garage, they had the car for a good few days, they know their stuff, used to be a Honda dealer when the EK's were new and are now a Honda and Jap car specialist who race an EG and an Integra so I guessed they would have checked everything, still I will ask them about everything when it's back in. Just strange that it's same issue as before stuff was changed, does suggest that it's not that stuff but will double check.

The second hand shocks didn't come with rubber top mounts so they used the original, when I mentioned it they said they had never had to change one before anyway.

Finger crossed...
